Here is my work on putting an H1D motor in my '77 KH400.  This page will change as I go.

This is what I started with.  Motor was seized.

Sure hope the center plug doesn't need changing often.

In addition, the right foot peg could be extended, brake & shifter bent out a little, and the sprocket cover needs to be cut down to fit.  I still have to find a place to mount the H1 CDI boxes and because the KH had a CDI, I plan to use the original coils.
