400cc Models

Considered by many to be the best all around of the triples, the 400 was actually considered to have good handling. A developed version of the 350, it not only cured it earlier sibling's ills but improved substantially on them. Despite this, the 400, as with all the smaller triples, has remained relatively obscure. It's main competitor was the Yamaha RD350/400, which has become a legendary bike in it's own right. The 400 after 1975 was a detuned model with CDI ignition.

A small decal was added to the tailpiece like the others bikes as well. The side panel emblems were changed from chrome to white and the headlamp brackets were now chromed.

Update to KH series. Three fuse system, locking gas cap, etc. Fit with CDI unique to 400 model, water resistant brake pads. Horsepower lowered to 38 HP, 36 HP for West Germany.
